CEPI, Gavi, and the WHO co-led COVAX, with key delivery partner UNICEF, to accelerate the development and manufacture of COVID-19 vaccines and to deliver fair and equitable access for every country in the world. COVAX was the vaccines pillar of the Access to COVID-19 Tools (ACT) Accelerator. COVAX worked to end the acute phase of the pandemic and supported countries in achieving their individual vaccination goals through delivering fair, equitable access to vaccines for every participating country.
